Metallized PET Film Metal-Side Identification

Metallized PET Film should reach the laminator with its metal face identified. Seeing a metallic appearance is not enough to establish which surface meets the adhesive.

Trace the face through the machine

Mark the intended ink and adhesive interfaces on a cross-section. Reconcile the supplier's winding diagram with unwind direction, turn bars and the final laminate. An operator's view at the roll is only one stage.

Resolve orientation before a bond trial

Use supplier-confirmed side identification, then retain a labelled sample from the trial. A surface-treatment reading alone does not identify the metal face or prove adhesive compatibility.
