When a metallized laminate peels, the visible silver surface does not prove that the aluminum-to-PET interface failed. Separation can occur in ink, primer, adhesive, coating or sealant layers. High-adhesion VMPET is designed for projects that place greater demand on the metal interface, but it cannot correct an incompatible adhesive, incomplete cure or contaminated web.

Start with the customer’s real problem
Converters need the aluminum layer to remain stable during lamination, curing, slitting, pouch making and package use.
