How to solve the four types of film faults such as split edges and exposed strands during the cutting process?

For each type of fault, there are usually corresponding solutions. For instance, regarding the issue of insufficient length, it is suggested that after the machine is put into operation, the diameter data measured can be compared with the unwinding length to roughly determine whether the roll length of the film meets the requirements. If there is a significant difference between the two, when cutting the rolls, pay attention to the splicing length to avoid the occurrence of insufficient length.

Edge curling occurs at the edge position of the film roll. It is caused by the thickened film edge being overlapped during the roll-up process, resulting in the edge part curling upwards. The common reason is that the cutting blade is too blunt. During the cutting process, a stretching phenomenon occurs at the cutting edge, causing the edge of the film roll to curl outward after re-rolling, leading to edge curling. At this time, the cutting blade should be replaced in time to avoid the occurrence of edge curling. Incorrect installation of the cutting tool, too fast roll-up speed, and too tight roll-up also tend to cause edge curling.
